Alexander City Cyber Attack

 

On January 24th, an emergency security council meeting was called by the Alexander City Council in Alabama, USA to inform the members of a ransomware attack, and take further actions on the same.

The Council has informed that they are insured for such a case and have been in touch with the insurance company.

An IT company Codeware was employed by the city council on the advise of the insurance company. A vote was taken to authorize Codeware, which was in unanimous favor of an agreement with Codeware.
